Myers and Lisson deliver homers

SPRINGDALE, AR- Mario Lisson and Wil Myers provided all of the offense the Naturals needed in a 4-3 victory over the Tulsa Drillers (20-10) on Sunday afternoon at Arvest Ballpark.
Myers got the Naturals offense on the board early belting a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning. The home run was the ninth of the season for Myers, and he now has 22 RBI to lead the Naturals (15-15).

The Drillers capitalized off of an error by Naturals starting pitcher Noel Arguelles to tie the score at one in the top of the second inning. Tulsa then took the lead getting sacrifice flies in the third and fifth innings from Nolan Arenado and Angelys Nina to take a 3-1 lead.

The Naturals battled back getting a big one-out three run home run from Mario Lisson to take the lead for good in the bottom of the sixth inning. The home run was the fourth of the season for Lisson, and the franchise leading 35 of his Naturals' career.

Arguelles (1-3) turned in his best start of the season going six and a third innings allowing seven hits and three runs, while striking out two. Elisaul Pimentel, Brendan Lafferty, and Kendal Volz combined to keep the Drillers scoreless the rest of the way. Volz earned his third save of the season recording the last out of the game.

Former Arkansas Razorback Nick Schmidt (1-1) took the loss working five and two thirds innings allowing seven hits and four runs, while striking out four.

The two teams will play game three of the series tomorrow night at 7:00 P.M. The Naturals will send Justin Marks (1-1, 5.32) to the mound against the Drillers right-hander Joe Gardner (1-0, 4.84). The game can be heard on ESPN 92.1 The Ticket, or seen on MiLB.TV (with subscription).
