FEMA representatives are in Benton County registering individuals who sustained damage to their residence during the December floods. Representatives will be in Benton County for approximately 30 days. The FEMA Public Information Officer is Robin Smith.
FEMA representatives highly recommend people register if they think they had damage from the storms. Individuals should err on the side of registering. For example: if their house flooded but the water receded and floorboards didn’t show any damage they should still register. Floorboards can warp in a month because of delayed damage.
Damage sustained will need to be at a person’s primary residence owned by them. FEMA representatives can give guidance on businesses that sustained damage but this registration is for residential homeowners.
