Winter weather advisory in effect until 5 pm cst this afternoon.

Winter storm warning is cancelled.

The NWS in tulsa has issued a winter weather advisory for snow, sleet and freezing rain, which is in effect until 5 pm cst this afternoon, For the following counties, in Oklahoma, osage and pawnee. In Arkansas, madison, benton and carroll.

Hazardous weather, a few lingering areas of light freezing rain, possibly mixed with sleet will remain possible across portions of northwest Arkansas through mid afternoon. Additional ice accumulations of less than a tenth of an inch will be possible. Additional areas of snow, mixed will sleet will move back into portions of northeast Oklahoma. Snow accumulations around 1 to 2 inches will be possible.

Impacts, roads in the advisory area may become slick and hazardous, especially on bridges and overpasses and non-treated surfaces.

Counties where slick and hazardous roads were reported, osage, pawnee, creek, sequoyah, carroll, madison, benton, Washington, franklin, sebastian, Definition, a winter weather advisory means that wintry precipitation may accumulate on roadways.

Precautionary/preparedness actions, use extra caution if driving. Attempt to stay on treated roadways. Expect travel delays.
