The largest SSHS hosted athletic participation event of the year is this Saturday. The annual Panther Cross Country Classic, being hosted by Siloam Springs High School at the Simmons Foods Corporate Office property in Siloam Springs, will be this Saturday, Sept. 25th.
We expect up to 1,000 runners from Arkansas and Northeast Oklahoma Schools to run this Saturday. We anticipate over 1500 fans and runners at this huge home XCC event this Saturday.
Admission for fans to this event is free. The meet is hosted by Siloam Springs School District and supported by Simmons Foods and the XC booster club.
The meet is on Simmons Foods Cooperate Office property located at the corner of Lincoln Street and Sager Creek Drive, near the Lazy Boy city softball fields in Siloam Springs. Restrooms and concessions will be available.
We invite you to attend the Panther Cross Country Classic this Saturday to support area XC programs and kids.

The 2010 Simmons Food Cross Country Meet Schedule:
- 9:00 a.m. 1-3 grade Fun Run - Community event ($10 Entry Fee and a signed parent release)
- 9:15 a.m. 4th -6th grade Fun Run - Community event ($10 Entry Fee and a signed parent release)
- 10:00 a.m. Jr. Girls Race
- 10:30 a.m. Jr. Boys Race
- 11:00 a.m. Varsity Girls Race
- 11:30 a.m. Varsity Boys Race
- 12:15 p.m. FINAL AWARDS
FUN RUN GUIDELINES:
The Fun Runs are open community races for 1st - 6th grade age students.
Parents, guardians, or supervising coaches from other schools must be present with students. Students are not supervised by school or meet personnel before or after the race. Parents, guardians, or supervising coaches from other schools must be present and be responsible for students at the meet. All meet activities conclude after the Fun Runs so Parents, guardians, or supervising coaches need to be on site to pick up their children right after the Fun Run events. The Fun Run participants are not SSSD athletes or students being supervised by any SSSD school program or teacher at the event. Participants not a part of the SSSD athletic program. This is not a Arkansas Activities Association sponsored athletic event and students are running in an open community event, therefore a physical is not required and parents, guardians, or supervising coaches take complete responsibility for assuring that their children are healthy enough to participate in the Fun Runs. The cost is $10 per student and each runner with pre-registration will receive a event Tee-shirt. Students also can register at the meet with their parents.
