DELAWARE COUNTY ELECTION BOARD

Candidates for the Board of Education in nine Delaware County school districts file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2011.
Dixie Smith, Secretary of the Delaware County Election Board, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011.
Candidates for the Board of Education in the Northeast Technology Center School District also file their Declarations during the same period.
The Board of Education positions at stake will be filled at the Annual School Election scheduled February 14, 2012. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the total votes cast in this election, the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes will meet in an election on Tuesday, April 3, 2012.
Offices for which Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the Delaware County Election Board office include the following:
Cleora School District – Office No. 3
Colcord School District – Office No. 2
Office No. 5 – unexpired term
Grove School District – Office No. 2
Jay School District – Office No. 2
Kansas School District – Office No. 2
Kenwood School District – Office No. 3
Leach School District – Office No. 3
Moseley School District – Office No. 3
Oaks Mission School District – Office No. 2
Office No. 5 – unexpired term
Declarations of Candidacy may also be accepted at the Delaware County Election Board for the following schools.
Afton School District – Office No. 2
Ketchum School District – Office No. 2
Skelly School District – Office No. 3
Spavinaw School District – Office No. 1
Office No. 2 – unexpired term
Office No. 3 – unexpired term
Turkey Ford School District – Office No. 3
Northeast Technology Center – Office No. 2
