Winter weather advisory in effect from 9 pm this evening to 6 am cst Thursday, The NWS in tulsa has issued a winter weather advisory for snow, which is in effect from 9 pm this evening to 6 am cst Thursday, For the following counties, in Oklahoma, Washington, osage, craig, nowata, ottawa and Delaware. In Arkansas, benton, Washington, carroll and madison.
Hazardous weather, light snow will develop this evening across northeast Oklahoma and spread into far northwest Arkansas after midnight. Gusty northerly winds will continue creating areas of blowing snow. The snow will end from west to east before sunrise Thursday.
1 inch or less of snow accumulation is expected from 9 pm this evening to 6 am cst Thursday.
Impacts, roads in the advisory area may become slick and hazardous, especially on bridges and overpasses and non-treated surfaces.
The combination of strong winds and snowfall may reduce visibilities at times.
Definition, a winter weather advisory means that wintery precipitation may accumulate on roadways.
Precautionary/preparedness actions, use extra caution if driving. Travel delays may develop.
