The next concert of the Second Saturday Music Series will feature renowned fiddler, Betse Ellis.
A native of Arkansas, Betse is a founding member of the Kansas City band, The Wilders, and also performs solo throughout the United States.
Betse connects with the audience performing “old time/new time” material, drawing from traditional American & Ozark fiddle tunes, old songs and spirituals, her own tunes and songs, and a dose of what she calls her “personal old-time music”.
The concert will be held Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Twin Springs Park Gazebo, just below the old hospital in Siloam Springs and begins at 7:30 p.m. There is no admission and donations are appreciated.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket. In the event of rain, the concert will move across the street to Sager Creek Art Center. For more information, contact Bill Lisk @ 479-220-2515.
