LITTLE ROCK - Governor Mike Beebe today announced his intent to grant seven pardons. An additional 26 clemency requests were denied and 23 had no action taken upon them. These include requests from both inmates and non-inmates.
The seven applicants intended for pardons have completed all jail time, fulfilled all parole-and-probationary requirements and paid all fines related to their sentences. There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback on the commutation and pardons before final action is taken.
Governor Beebe intends to grant pardons to the following people:
Calla J. Duvall (West Fork): Domestic Battery This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (2006 - Elkins District Court), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.
Marjorie L. Hurley (Russellville): Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (2003 - Pope County), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.
Terra McCabe-Wilburn (Bella Vista): Possession of Methamphetamine This notice is issued based on the dates of conviction (2000, 2001 - Madison County), the fact that all term of the applicant's sentences have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.
Jimmy Ray Morris (Dover): Manufacture of Marijuana This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1999 - Pope County), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.
Theresa Qualls (Little Rock): Criminal Trespass This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1994 - Little Rock District Court), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.
Shelia Simpson (Crossett): Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1996 - Ashley County), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.
Corey Toney (Greenbrier): Possession of Cocaine This notice is issued based on the date of conviction (1994 - Conway County), the fact that all terms of the applicant's sentence have been completed and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law-enforcement objections to the application.
