LITTLE ROCK - Governor Mike Beebe today announced the following judicial appointment:

Ed Koon, Sheridan, as Circuit Judge for the Second Division of the Seventh Judicial District. Appointment expires December 31, 2012. Replaces the Honorable Phil Shirron.

Governor Beebe also announced the following appointments to boards and commissions:

Robert Barnes, Texarkana, reappointed to the Garland Levee District Board of Directors. Appointment expires October 1, 2017.

Dr. Ian Birkett, Little Rock, to the State Crime Laboratory Board. Appointment expires January 14, 2018. This is a new position.

Charles Blake, Little Rock, to the Daisy Gatson Bates Holiday Committee. Appointment expires January 31, 2014. Replaces Dr. Theman Taylor.

Dana Ruth Brown, Corning, to the Mansion Advisory Council. Appointee serves at the will of the governor. This is a new position.

Kathy Brownlee, Arkadelphia, to the Arkansas Legislative Task Force on Abused and Neglected Children. Appointment expires June 30, 2013. Replaces Joyce Palla.

Billy Bunn, Arkadelphia, to the Residential Building Contractors Committee. Appointment expires October 1, 2012. Position is currently vacant.

Margo Bushmiaer, Little Rock, to the Arkansas Commission on Eye and Vision Care of School-Age Children. Appointee serves at the will of the governor. Replaces Lisa Drake.

Tjuana Byrd, Sherwood, to the State Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board. Appointment expires July 31, 2014. Replaces Joy Matlock.

Dr. Timothy Calicott, Little Rock, reappointed to the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council. Appointment expires July 1, 2014.

Melanie Churchill, Camden, to the Arkansas Commission on Eye and Vision Care of School-Age Children. Appointee serves at the will of the governor. Replaces Karla Neathery.

Damon Daniels, Arkadelphia, to the Arkansas State Board of Registration for Foresters. Appointment expires July 18, 2013. Replaces Bobby Newman.

Joseph "Scott" Davison, Little Rock, reappointed to the Public Transportation Coordinating Council. Appointment expires September 20, 2015.

Jennifer Gallaher, North Little Rock, to the Children's Behavioral Health Care Commission. Appointment expires August 15, 2014. Replaces David Laffoon.

Kenneth Gill, Little Rock, to the Mold Investigation Advisory Board. Appointment expires December 31, 2012.

Steve Groves, Garland, reappointed to the Garland Levee District Board of Directors. Appointment expires October 1, 2017.

Diane Hammond, El Dorado, to the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission. Appointment expires January 14, 2015. Replaces Carroll Prewett.

Dr. Sybil Hampton, Little Rock, to the Daisy Gatson Bates Holiday Committee. Appointment expires January 31, 2014. Replaces Phyllis Dickerson.

Charles Hoke, Morrilton, reappointed to the Marine Sanitation Advisory Committee. Appointment expires October 5, 2014.

David Hopkins, Benton, to the State Board of Registration for Professional Geologists. Appointment expires October 1, 2016. Replaces Barbara Cooper.

Dr. Anna Jarrett, Springdale, to the Prescriptive Authority Advisory Committee. Appointment expires February 1, 2014. Replaces Lori Ellis.

Paul Johnston, Alexander, to the Arkansas Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics Advisory Board. Appointment expires September 1, 2014. Replaces Dan Crowder.

George Keck, Arkadelphia, to the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame Board. Appointment expires September 1, 2017. Replaces Ralph Myers.

Bruce Lockett, Pine Bluff, to the Arkansas HIV/AIDS Minority Taskforce. Appointment expires February 1, 2015. Replaces Ruben Arana.

Judge Michael Loftin, El Dorado, to the Arkansas Waterways Commission. Appointment expires January 14, 2013. Replaces Donald Banks.

Dr. Alan Lucas, Conway, to the Prescriptive Authority Advisory Committee. Appointment expires February 1, 2014. Replaces Dr. Jerry Malott.

Dr. Cora McHenry, North Little Rock, reappointed to the Daisy Gatson Bates Holiday Committee. Appointment expires January 31, 2014.

Patrick McNally, North Little Rock, to the Arkansas Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics Advisory Board. Appointment expires September 1, 2014. Replaces Steven Street.

Richard Mays, Jr., Little Rock, reappointed to the Parole Board. Appointment expires January 14, 2018.

Johnette Parham, Malvern, reappointed to the Long Term Care Facility Advisory Board. Appointment expires October 15, 2014.

John Ralston, El Dorado, reappointed to the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources Advisory Committee. Appointment expires July 31, 2016.

Sharon Schrantz, Rogers, reappointed to the Arkansas Child Abuse, Rape and Domestic Violence Commission. Appointment expires July 1, 2013.

Betty Steinsiek Shaw, Jonesboro, to the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission. Appointment expires January 14, 2015. Replaces Gregory Morris.

Dr. Scott Simmons, Little Rock, reappointed to the Long Term Care Facility Advisory Board. Appointment expires October 15, 2014.

J. Wesley Smith, Leslie, to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District #20. Appointment expires January 14, 2013. Replaces James Elliott.

Dr. Anne Sortor, Sherwood, reappointed to the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee. Appointment expires October 1, 2015.

Dewain Tennant, Benton, to the Mold Investigation Advisory Board. Appointment expires December 31, 2012.

Dr. Karl Wagenhauser, Hot Springs, reappointed to the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council. Appointment expires July 1, 2014.

Dr. Angie Waliski, Sherwood, reappointed to the Arkansas Legislative Task Force on Abused and Neglected Children. Appointment expires June 30, 2013.
