Congratulations to McKee Foods for winning the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality "Stewardship Award" for the company's extensive efforts to divert all of its waste from landfills.
ADEQ Director Teresa Marks said "McKee has worked hard to protest the environment, by cutting the trash it sends to landfills from 1000 tons a year to zero, it has surpassed a goal that some might have seen as impossible. The company sets s shining example, not only in its own industry, but for us all."

MANNA CENTER IN NEED OF WAITING ROOM CHAIRS: We are looking for some used sturdy office chairs without wheels. What we are looking for is the type you would use in an office waiting room or in front of the desk. The ones we have now have wheels and lean back. They are dangerous for our elderly and disabled clients, not to mention young children that push and twirl them. Please contact Marla Sappington, Administrative Assistant, The Manna Center, 479-524-9825.
